I moved to Annapolis a year ago from DC. One of the reasons was WRNR. When I moved to DC in the 90s, I listened to Rob Timm and crew at WHFS. In 2021, on a date in Annapolis, I heard WRNR, loved the music, then found out Rob Timm and the crew were here!
While unpacking my new Annapolis life, I won tickets to see the Lumineers, one of my favorite bands, at Merriweather in May 2022. It was my first ticket win ever and an amazing show. I felt so fortunate and so grateful.

Hi! One of my memories of RNR was when a hurricane rolled through town. The DJ that evening was a woman named Heather. I live on the South River and was home alone since my husband left to help his work keep the flood waters at bay. Heather stayed on air all night playing music and calmly talking.
It was like having a good friend in our living room. Thank God for a good old radio with batteries! Heather's stories, tone, and demeanor helped me stay calm while holding our dogs and hearing wind and rain howl like I’ve never heard it!!
I’ll never forget her for being there…a voice on the airwaves, that made a huge difference in one person's life.
Thank you Heather and WRNR.
